It is possible to choose and participate in courses not listed in the course catalogue.
*Core Courses refer to classes that are essential for completing the PhD regardless of the specific doctoral topic, such as articles writing, presentation, or transferable skills.
Courses taken at other Swiss universities and abroad at acknowledged universities, can be recognised if they meet the criteria mentioned here: recognition of courses and conferences
PhD candidates and supervisors are very welcome to suggest topics for new courses to be added to the GHS course catalogue. For suggestions, please contact the Coordinator of the GHS: Dr. Tullia Padovani
NOTE FOR CAS COURSE CREDITS: If you intend to follow or you are already following CAS courses, please be aware that you can either use the courses for your PhD, as part of the mandatory 18 ECTS required by the GHS PhD program or acquire the CAS diploma.
The course credits cannot be used to acquire both certificates (PhD and CAS) at the same time.
Make sure to inform the CAS office if you want to use course credits for your PhD, at the time you enroll in the CAS.
